Kayel Tyres Wins International ‘Recircle Awards’ Spirit of Retreading Award, Malaysia’s Only Winner
Kayel Tyres has won the international Recircle Award for ‘Spirit of Retread- ing’ for the quality of their retread tyres, made in Shah Alam.
The Recircle Awards are a global ceremony organised by our Truck & Bus News’ sis- ter magazines and company, Valebridge Media Services, Retreading Business and Tyre & Rubber Recycling. This event was developed to recognise the contribution of companies and individuals within the tyre manufacturing, retreading and recycling in- dustries, who are all working towards a Cir- cular Economy.
With nominees from across the globe, Kayel Tyres was chosen as the winner for the ‘Spir- it of Retreading’ award, in recognition for their particularly noteworthy contribution to the retreading industry by a mid-sized, small or regional retreaders. With strong competi- tion from Europe, South Africa and the USA, Kayel Tyres was proud to be the sole winner for Malaysia on the night.
This award marks the recognition of the hard work and dedica- tion that has gone into making both high qual- ity and safe retreads in Malaysia. Alongside the local market, Kayel Tyres exports to Austra- lia and is the outsource retread process pro- vider for a number of global tyre manufactur- ers. The company has continued to expand in terms of tyre qual- ity and safety, having recently been awarded 'E' Mark status for their tyres, meaning they are road-legal across Eu- rope and available for export to the European Union.
Kayel Tyres is looking to continue boosting the reputation of the retread tyre industry though a RM3 million investment in the continual improve- ment of technical and practical systems that al- low for the production of up to 1,000 tyres per day in their fully automated factory based in Kota Kemuning.
