Gaining acclaim amongst drifters
As an automotive enthusiast and a drifter, Lee has tested various brand of tyres. Lee got interested in drifting in 2004. Drifting was not very popular back then, and he learned the skill all by himself through watching drifting-related videos. In 2006, he began to take part in various competitions. From 2009 to 2010, he obtained tyre sponsorship, and was drift- ing on Federal tyres. The timing was just right, as the long- awaited Westlake brand of tyres had just become available in Malaysia.
To further grow the brand, Westlake Marketing Malaysia was tyres for drifting competitions and events. Westlake is the only Chinese tyre brand that is actively involved in the local their products.”
The relationship with Westlake Marketing Malaysia grew even closer after they partnered in the many grassroots drifting events. Westlake Marketing Malaysia Managing Director, Tan Heong Thong, Lee stressed, has been very supportive since day one.
Lee, together with Ivan Choo, a famous local drifter, were in- strumental in the establishment of Team Westlake Malaysia in 2017 – and, that’s saying a lot.
Today, the Team that consists of three drifters, Lee, Choo and Wilson Chang has gained a reputation in the local drift compe- titions. To date, Lee has participated in more than 100 races. The biggest win for him was clinching the Velocity Motorshow Drift Challenge Championship that was held on 15th Septem- ber, 2019.

Apart from running his tyre and car care centre, Lee also provides drift training at a cost. The charges for those who own a real- wheel-drive car is cheaper than those do not have, as he has to rent a car for them.
