Automechanika Kuala Lumpur Sets New Exhi
Automechanika Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s leading regional trade fair for the automotive industry targeting trade visitors from Asean, attracted a record number of exhibitors and visitors when it was held from 19th to 21st March - strongly supported by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MA- TRADE). The additional support provided by the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau’s (MyCEB) promotional and related services together with various other local and overseas industry associations also contributed to the event’s success.

The implementation of NAP 2014 last year was designed to further transform the Malaysian automotive sector as the nation’s engine for economic growth. The automotive sector is expected to contribute even more towards the national GDP with a target set at 10 per cent by 2020.”
Kuala Lumpur 2015 was the largest to-date and attracted 243 exhibitors from 21 latest products and technologies on the 7,465sq m of exhibition space. The show was expanded to four halls, up by 49 per cent. Overseas exhibitors comprised the United Arab Emirates and the USA. There were new exhibitors from Bulgaria, Poland and Spain.
Visitors numbered 5,440, a 25-per cent increase from 2013. Among the 65 visit- ing countries and regions, the top 10 visiting countries, excluding Malaysia, were
