markets. Strong-Max was specially designed with high load capacity for short and medium haul, while the Ride-Wings series was meant for long distance transportation.
According to Wang, Linglong was able to tailor a prod- utilised Strong-Max patented technology to design for the Malaysian market, taking the country’s mining conditions and weather into consideration. Built with specially formulated compounds, these tyres offered improved cut, chunking and chipping resistance, two- fold increase in bead durability, and more than 40-per cent strength increase in the tyre crown.
Linglong had signed a deal with engineering ser- ground in China. Linglong would pay for the construc- building of the test track.
Under the agreement, the two parties would co-oper- ate in the running of the proving ground, tyre testing ground would acquire international recognition and would eventually be available to the Chinese gov- ernment as well as local and foreign vehicle and tyre able to undertake 2,800 projects a year, covering a total test journey of 6.9 million kilometres. To-date, Wang revealed that Linglong had invested RMB600 million in the construction of this tyre proving ground. The construction process had gone smoothly and it part of it would be ready for use.
3+3 Strategy
“Linglong’s aims are to manufacture high end prod- ucts and globalisation. With our in-depth knowledge on tyre performance, we aspire to make ultra-high performance tyres as the main product of the compa- ny and sell them all over the world. Of course, we still have a long way to go before we are able to achieve these goals. During the past few years, we have been actively implementing the ‘go global’ strategy and speeding up the company’s ‘3+3 strategy’ to have 3 factories in China and 3 abroad.”
Today, Linglong had 3 manufacturing facilities in China that were located in Zhaoyuan, Dezhou and production in February 2014.
“Moving forward, we would continue to expand our manufacturing base and business to other countries. Linglong is aiming to achieve a production of 90 mil- lion tyres (including tubes) per year during China’s class manufacturer and one of the world’s Top’s 10 manufacturers,” Wang said.
