Automechanika Kuala Lumpur’s strong supporter Launch Tech Malaysia was on site this year to showcase its Electric Vehicle (EV) and complete Tyre Pressure Monitoring Sys- tem (TPMS) solutions at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
“With more and more manufacturers bringing their respective electric car range to the market, the Malaysian Automotive Asso- ciation (MAA) has projected a sharp rise in EV registration. There- fore, we took this opportunity to let show visitors know that Launch Tech is EV-ready,” said General Manager Chia See Yong.
To cater for the needs of the rapidly evolving e-mobility mar- ket, the company displayed its EV Solutions for maintenance and detection that included the ES200 EV Insulation Resistance Tester, ELB300 EV Battery Pack Cell Equalizer (24 Channels), ELT500 EV Battery Pack Airtightness Tester, TLT615DEV Bat- tery Pack Lifting Platform and EV Diagnostic Add-on Kit.
“The ES200 EV Insulation Resistance Tester accurately meas- of maintenance personnel. Designed for new energy batteries such as iron phosphate, ternary lithium and lithium manganate is the ELB300 EV Battery Pack Cell Equalizer, which could quickly cell capacity due to inconsistent cell voltages.”
He continued that the ELT500 EV Battery Pack Airtightness Test- er was a non-destructive testing equipment with high precision, which used compressed air as a medium to apply a certain pres- sure to the inner cavity or surface of the product to be tested. It then used a high-sensitivity sensor to detect the pressure chang- es to determine the airtightness of the product. Its seven-inch

ing Platform. With a maximum lift weight of 1,500kg and maxi- mum height of 1850mm, he said, this compact lift was suitable for workplaces that had limited space. Lastly, he added, the EV Diagnostics Add-On Kit came with battery pack testing cables for various vehicle brands. In addition, with the activation card that was included, battery pack diagnostic software and other diagnostic software for new energy vehicles could be activated and downloaded.
Meanwhile, Launch Tech’s complete Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) solutions is targeted at tyre service centres and collision and repair shops. According to him, the solutions consisted of the CRT 711 TPMS Diagnostic Tool, CRT-511 stan- dalone TPMS Diagnostic Tool, X-431 TSGUN TPMS WAND and of industry players.
As a professional TPMS diagnostic tool, Yong said the android-based CRT 711 was capable of reading, learning and programming Launch sensors as well as sensor ID activation by the RF signals. There are four LTR-03 RF sensors in the tool kit package.
“The LTR-03 is a universal and programmable RF-sensor de- signed and produced by Launch Tech and is compatible with more than 98 per cent of OE-level sensors in 315MHz and 433MHz. It could replace all the OE tyre pressure sensors, copy the OE sensor data and be programmed for an unlimited time,” he added.
Featuring built-in learning tutorial for easy operation, the CRT-511, he shared, was a powerful and versatile standalone Diagnostic and TPMS Tool while the X-431 TSGUN TPMS WAND was an extended TPMS tool for the X-431 scanner. “It that is designed to work with X-431 diagnostic tools to expand new functions and generate new revenue for X-431 users,” he explained.
