 It’s over 20 years since we last visited Stamford Tyres’ retread- ing facility in Singapore, but this year, whilst in Singapore for TyreXpo Asia, we were able to view the company’s current
plant, built in 2014, and which is one of the most modern plants in the country. We spoke to Ivan Reijan, who is Vice President (Fleet) for Stamford Tyres plus Factory Manager Rupert Yeo.
Stamford Tyres has long been one of the most prominent tyre dis- tribution specialists in the South-East Asia region and is a major           - ny specialises in tyre supply and tyre related services, of course, but over the years Stamford Tyres has gradually expanded into mechanical works also, operating via three truck centres located in Changi, Tuas and Jurong. The company primarily services the                     - pore, providing added value to Stamford’s Malaysian customers. The company has 12 recovery trucks, which can move quickly to locations around Singapore carrying out tyre sales, repairs and          marketed as TTMP (Total Tyre Management Programme).

Tower Transit, and Go Ahead Bus Singapore, these three mak- ing up some 50 per cent of urban buses in Singapore. Stamford is also a major provider to the waste management sector with customers such as Sembwaste and Alba W&H Smart City Pte Ltd, also key suppliers to PSA (Port of Singapore Authorities), handling internal prime movers at Terminals 2 and 5 at Pasir Panjang, and a major supplier of industrial tyres for cranes.
