Established in January 2011, Linglong In- ternational Tire (Thailand) Co, Ltd (LLIT) is sited in the Hemaraj Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate, which is known as the ‘Oriental Detroit’. This industrial estate is strategically located; 112 kilometres from Bangkok and 27 kilometres from Laem Chabang Port, the largest in Thailand. As the world’s top producer and exporter of natural rubber, it is sensible for tyre com- panies to invest and set up factories in Thailand to take the advantages of raw material production, processing and ap- plication. After careful evaluation of Thai- land’s international political environment, automotive and tyre market development potential, support from the local govern-         - ternational trade barriers, Linglong set up its production facility in Thailand, under- lining a key step in its global expansion. The move allows Linglong to integrate      good response from targeted markets as well as other markets, improve product competitiveness and shape its interna- tional brand image.
