Apollo Launches Future-Ready Amazer XP Tyres
Apollo Tyres have introduced a new age com- fortable and eco-friendly tyre, which is BS-VI compliant and electric vehicle ready. The com- pany explained that the low rolling resistance co - ef- wear life.
Apollo Amazer XP has been designed and developed &Development (R&D) Centres – in Enschede, the Netherlands and in Chennai, India – and a cross-func- tional team comprising members from R&D, Manu- facturing, Service, Business Quality and Marketing that contributed to the delivery. These new tyres are being produced at the company’s state-of-the-art unit in Oragadam, Tamil Nadu and Limda, Gujarat.
The company said that the new tyre come with the been thoroughly tested before being introduced, where it has already gained OE approval from the likes of Tata Tigor EV, Renault Kwid, Hyundai Grand i10, Datsun Go & Go+.
The Apollo Amazer XP tyres have been devel- oped using a low rolling resistance compound for better fuel efficiency. The helical placement of sipes, provides the added edge to the tyres, for a smooth interaction with the road, thereby ensuring improved comfort. The trumpet groove design on the shoulders promises a low tread pattern noise and a silent cabin.
Commenting on the launch, Satish Sharma, Presi- Apollo Tyres Ltd said: “The Apollo Amazer XP tyres age, which is BSVI ready. This eco-friendly tyre is an- other small contribution from us towards a greener approvals that we have received within a short span of time for these tyres, is a testimony to the superb performance one can expect from these tyres. We are already looking at dominating the passenger EV space in India with these tyres.”
Apollo has introduced the tyre in seven sizes during introduced in Phase 2. The sizes being released in- cluding 145/80 R12 for Alto, 155/16 R14 for WagonR, WagonR and Stingray, 165/70 R14 for Kwid, Datsun, Celerio, Go, Go+, Micra, 165/80 R14 forSwift and Al- troz, 175/65 R14 for Tigor, Bolt, Zest, Amaze, Etios and Brio, 185/65 R14 for i20 and Old Verna as well as 185/70 R14 for Swift, Old DZire and Verito.
