Univipal's Online Activities Grew in 2020
In 2020, Univipal developed a series of new re- sources, intensifying online training and expanding content. Thus, virtual activities were highlighted through Univipal, Vipal's corporate university, which provides training for both external and internal audi- ences. Vipal's international market team had the op- portunity to improve their knowledge on various topics with over 160 class hours, helping to qualify around 30 professionals.
Among the topics reinforced by the university's instruc- tors and with Vipal's internal audience were: choosing patches; main occurrences with commercial tyres; how to reduce post-vulcanisation losses; most common damages and wear on agricultural tyres; Eco Treads; tread testing methodology, amongst many others.
“The technical refresh course provided by Univipal during the pandemic period showed the importance that Vipal puts into keeping its collaborators up to date. It’s during times like this that I realise I am at the right company, as well as at a winning company,” Europe, proudly.
Paola Ferrada, General Manager of Vipal Chile, also participated in the activities and was extremely satis- we have experienced the normality of work with great team, customers and partners trained using Univipal’s virtual platform,” she says.
Paola also points out that it is very important for the internal audience to be able to participate in these activities, as they increase the range of knowledge and exchange of experiences in the global retread- ing segment.
“Our technicians saw Univipal's distance learning courses as a good opportunity to be able to stay up to date on the conditions of the retreading industry, new technologies, product launches, appropriate uses, processes, just to name a few,” she adds.
Univipal registered over 220 hours of virtual training, 169 of those in the form of webinars, an activity that had never been undertaken before at the institution. Overall, 3,287 students completed Univipal's distance learning courses, 47.4 per cent more than in 2019.
For Andreia Peruzzo, Coordinator at Vipal’s university, “In addition to improving and refreshing our team’s knowledge, we took the opportunity to better under- stand how to work with the technologies available and test the possibility of online tools within our market.”
