Why Carmichael PFTS decided on OKO Sealants
In Malaysia, tyre sealants have never had much of a positive reputation. The key rea- son for this tends to be that it’s viewed as a low-tech product, with tyre retailers hav- ing to clean out the tyres that need repair- ing or retreading. This comes down to the latex-based sealant, which doesn’t make things easier. OKO products, bar a specialist product designed for bike racing, are water soluble and, crucially not latex-based, mean- ing they don’t require topping up when the sealant dries up, and they’re easy to clean out. The high costs of buying sealants from America and the image of the product being low-tech is why OKO Malaysia could help transform the sector.
