Liew Koon Upgrades Retreading Equipment Technology
Liew Koon Marketing is the import and export division of the Liew Koon Group, which special- ises in manufacturing and supplying complete tyre re- treading plant machinery that covers all aspects of their market sector.
Tyreman spoke with Man- aging Director - Louis Liew Chee Weng, and he ex- plained that the primary rea- son for exhibiting at the show was to introduce a series of the company’s very latest technological advancements in their unique range of re- treading equipment. Liew explained, “Our in-house re- search and development di- vision is constantly looking to evolve the ongoing quality of our equipment, and we have recently adapted and further increased the high quality of our products.
“Therefore, being at Tyrexpo Asia gives us the perfect op- portunity to invite our estab- lished customers to visit our booth during the event to learn of our latest innovations the three day show we have been able to explain in detail how Liew Koon can now of- fer even higher quality equip- ment for future retreading re- quirements. At the same time we have even been able to meet potential new custom- ers who have shown an inter- est in our product range.
When asked for his opinion of the retreading market sec- tor in South East Asia at the moment, Liew pointed out that the market is certainly position, and there has been
the amount of retreads being produced across SEA, which can be di- rectly attributed to the Chinese tyre manufac- - tration of our regional market sector. He com- mented,” This unfor- tunate downturn has obviously led to a drop in our equipment sales in SEA, but we are ex- tremely fortunate in having a global export trade, and for the mo- ment the majority of our equipment range is be- ing sold outside of SEA.
“There eventually has to be a solution to this situ- ation, which is seriously until the current Chinese tyre dilemma caused is resolved, I feel it will continue to struggle.”
