AUTOBACS Seven & AUTOBACS Car Service Malaysia Showcase Engin
AUTOBACS Car Service Ma- laysia, a leading one-stop car service centre for car mainte- nance service, wholesale and retail the recently concluded 2019 edition of Automechanika Kuala Lumpur.
From the letters in the company’s name, Appeal, Unique, Tyres, Oil, Batteries, Accessories, Car electron- ics and Services, one could clearly identify the core of its business.
Participating at the show, AUTOBACS Car Service Malaysia’s primary focus was on its new engine oil. “To provide better performance for better driving, we decided to launch our own brand of engine oil. Co-developed with a fa- mous oil brand, quality is ensured by full quality control during the production process and through inspection at our own facilities. Thus, when one chooses our engine oil, they could be sure of the authentic Japanese quality and reliabil- ity,” said Director Hiroaki Nezu.
Launched at the end of last year was its range of fully synthetic engine oil, the AUTOBACS 5W-30 SN/CF/GF-5, 0W-20 SN/GF-5, 5W-40 SN/CF and 0W-30 SN/GF-5.
The 5W-30 SN/CF/GF-5, he said, was AUTOBACS high quality en- gine oil that was specially designed and formulated with highly im- the conventional 5W-30 oils from the other manufacturers. It is said to be suitable for vehicles with large displacement engines and vehicles with high-output engines, including turbocharged models.
Made using synthetic-based SN/ GF-5 oil, the 0W-20 SN/GF-5 is ideal for gasoline engines, including hybrid cars and cars with idling stop function as well as cars that are designated to use 0W-20 oil. Its low viscosity reduc- es friction on lubricated engine parts and contributes to fuel saving.
Suitable for vehicles with large engine displacements or high output (including turbocharged models) driven at extreme tem- peratures is the 5W-40 SN/CF. He said this 5W-40 SN/CF oil surpassed oil deterioration dur- ing long drives at high revolu- tions and high load, and was suitable for both gasoline and diesel vehicles.
Meanwhile, the 0W-30 SN/GF-5 ‘excellent’ cold start performance with improved fuel economy. It is suitable for gasoline and diesel engines in four-wheel vehicles, eco-friendly vehicles like hybrid cars and cars with idling stop function from makers that recom- mend 0W-20 Oil.
