Electa Highlights Texa Truck Diagnostics and Air-Conditioning Service Station
Electa took part in the recent Automechanika Kuala Lumpur to highlight its wide range of products, including Texa truck diag- nostics and air-conditioning service station.
According to Jimmy Cheong, Managing Director of Electa Equipment (M) Sdn Bhd, the company had being Texa’s sole distributor for 8 years. Texa provided diagnostic solutions for 5 different sectors: cars, trucks, bikes, off-highway (agriculture and construction) as well as ma- rine. With these offers, Texa was said to provide unrivalled coverage of makes and models, ranging from European to Asian and US vehicles, Cheong said, Texa was the pioneer operating in the truck sector that developed its products in-house, both the diagnostic resources and related database

“Carrying out regular service or repairs on commercial vehicles, buses and coaches, trailers or semi-trailers requires expertise and advanced tools. The technician who performs this task needs to move freely around the vehicle. For these needs, Texa has developed the Naviga- to the vehicle’s diagnostic socket and communicates via Bluetooth with the display unit. This display unit can be a Texa’s product such as Texa-Axone 4 Tablet PC or Notebook computer.”
Cheong, being a software that allowed better management of the op- expanded based on regular feedback received from Heavy Goods Ve- hicle (HGV) technicians, who in order to provide auto diagnostics ser- vices required accurate and up-to-date technical documents as well as specialist training.
