MTI in Kendal Industrial Park, Indonesia, Is ZC Rubber’s Second Overseas Plant
ZC Rubber‘s Phase I production at its new Indonesian plant, which operates under the name of Matahari Tire Indonesia (MTI), in Kendal Industrial Park, Central Java, has officially commenced.
To commemorate the occasion, a gathering was held in the facility. Several prominent figures, including officials from the Central Java Provincial Government, the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Kendal Industrial Park executives, and over 300 global dealers and suppliers, were present.
MTI is ZC Rubber’s second overseas plant, built with an investment worth around $280 million. Spanning 500,000 square meters, the facility is equipped to produce a wide range of products, including truck and bus tyres, two-wheeler tyres, bias tyres, inner tubes, tracks, and carbon black. Once fully operational, it is expected to generate an annual revenue of approximately $720 million.
Construction of the plant began in January 2024 and, in just 233 days, the first all-steel radial tyre was produced, with official production commencing within the same year.
During the ceremony, ZC Rubber Chairman, Mr Shen Jinrong, emphasized the plant’s importance to the company’s global strategy, calling it a cornerstone of ZC Rubber’s commitment to innovation, quality, and sustainable growth.
“Our goal for MTI is to strengthen its core competitiveness, ensure high-quality product supply, and continuously expand its industry chain. We aim to deepen collaboration across all levels, showcase ZC Rubber’s leadership, support local economic growth, and establish a solid strategic foundation for the company’s global development,” he said.
MTI represents a significant step forward in ZC Rubber’s mission to strengthen its global presence. This new facility will boost the company’s ability to deliver high-quality products and enhance its competitiveness in key markets while reinforcing its commitment to innovation and sustainable growth worldwide.
