Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. announced on February 17, 2025, that it has begun supplying its Advan Sport EV tyres as original equipment for the newly launched Lynk & Co Z10 sedan. This premium electric vehicle (EV) is produced by Lynk & Co, a joint venture between China’s Geely Auto Group and Sweden’s Volvo Car Group. The Advan Sport EV tyres, sized 245/50R19 105W, are specifically designed to complement the Z10’s high performance.
Engineered for premium EVs, the Advan Sport EV is an ultra-high-performance summer tyre derived from Yokohama’s Advan Sport V107, originally developed for high-performance cars. To meet the demands of EV owners, these tyres feature a specialized compound that minimizes rolling resistance and a tread pattern optimized for superior drainage. This combination enhances energy efficiency and wet performance, ensuring a balanced and dynamic driving experience. The sidewall of the Advan Sport EV also bears Yokohama’s proprietary “E+” mark, signifying its suitability for electrified vehicles.
The Lynk & Co Z10, the brand’s first fully electric sedan, offers an impressive driving range of over 800 km. With advanced fast-charging capabilities, it can gain an additional 573 km range in just 15 minutes. Engineered for both performance and safety, the Z10 delivers exhilarating acceleration while maintaining exceptional comfort and driving stability.
This partnership aligns with Yokohama Rubber’s three-year (2024–2026) medium-term management plan, Yokohama Transformation 2026 (YX2026), which focuses on increasing the sales ratio of high-value-added tyres. A key strategy includes expanding the presence of its global flagship Advan brand, along with Geolandar tyres for SUVs and pickups, as original equipment for new vehicles. In China, Yokohama Rubber is particularly focused on strengthening its supply of tyres for EVs and other new energy vehicles, reflecting the rapid growth of the sector.
