Tomislav Momirović, the Serbian Minister of Construction, Transportation and Infrastructure, paid a visit to Zrenjanin to see Linglong Europe in action, accompanied by the mayor of Zrenjanin, Sim Salapur.
A Combination of 50 On-Site and Special On-Site Inspections so Far Conducted at Base
A tightly controlled site, Momirović was impressed with Linglong Europe’s understanding and compliance of Serbian laws and regulations, indicating a bright future for Linglong Europe. The base, Linglong’s second outside of China, is an important part of Linglong’s 7+5 global strategy. With a planned investment of US 990 million, up to 1,200 local jobs, and a capacity of 13,62 million radial tyres, the investment is a real boost to Zrenjanin, with the mayor confirming the investment is the largest in the area.
Linglong Makes Inroads with Serbia with Diverse Range of Social Programmes
As part of Linglong’s social programme, the manufacturer has held tree-planting ceremonies and offered scholarships and internship opportunities for local students. There has also been a selection of major events, including the China-EU Elite Chess Competition and a youth football training session with the Serbian Football Association, with professional guidance from coaches in the Serbian SuperLiga.
