Rajeev Kumar Sinha Becomes New CMO of Apollo Tyres

As Apollo Tyres‘ new Chief Manufacturing Officer, Rajeev Kumar Sinha will be in charge of the company’s global manufacturing team.

Rajeev Kumar Sinha has been officially appointed the Chief Manufacturing Officer (CMO) of Apollo Tyres. The appointment took place on April 2, 2025.

According to Apollo Tyres‘ official release, Sinha will lead the global manufacturing team and is responsible for driving the company’s global manufacturing agenda which includes strategy and planning, performance optimisation, plant management, integrated manufacturing services (IMS), corporate industrial engineering (IE), and deployment of Advanced Manufacturing Systems and AI/ML solutions.

“Rajeev is a Global Manufacturing Leader who comes with over 35 years of rich experience in the Operations and Supply Chain domain across diverse industries such as Chemical, FMCG, Foods & Beverages and Pharmaceuticals. He will play a critical role not only in our growth journey but also in maintaining our competitive advantage. He joins us as a key member of the Global Executive Committee,” said Neeraj Kanwar, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Apollo Tyres.

Before working for Apollo Tyres, Sinha was the Global Chief Manufacturing Officer of Cipla. He served as a member of its Management Council and a Non-Executive Director in select group companies.

Throughout his stint at Cipla, Sinha has made significant contributions to strengthening Global Operations Excellence through Network Optimisation. He embedded a culture of Lean Six Sigma in manufacturing operations and focused on the Manufacturing Science & Technology group to enhance product and process robustness, technical capability, and complex investigations capability.

Sinha has also worked as Executive Vice President and Global Head of Formulation Operations and Executive Vice President and Global Head of Manufacturing Formulations at Glenmark.
At PepsiCo, he has worked as Senior Director, Supply Chain Operations, Productivity and Performance, Director Operations of Productivity and Sustainability, and Director Operations of North Market Unit.

As the new CMO of Apollo Tyres, Sinha will be based out of the company’s corporate headquarters in Gurugram, India, and report to Kanwar.

I look forward to steering innovations, especially pertaining to AI/ML solutions, and Industry 4.0 and 5.0, driving the manufacturing agenda of the organisation,” Sinha said.
