     CN Allied Gears Up to Grow Fortune Tyre Brand in Malaysia
  
 Shah Alam-based CN Allied Trading Sdn Bhd, one of the leading players in the tyre wholesale business, plans
to grow the latest tyre brand – Fortune - that was added to its product portfolio.
“As the sole distributor for the Fortune brand of passenger car and 4x4 tyres for Malaysia, we had distributed the brand for two years and it was well accepted by the local market. Thanks to its consistent quality and overall performance as well as the wide range that covers more than 90 per cent of vehicle sizes in the country,      from other Chinese brands,” said Manag- er K.K. Chan.

hydroplaning and dispersed water to im- prove wet handling.
“Comfort is also enhanced with the op- timised asymmetric tread’s siping place- ment that negates the noise generated during driving,” he added.
The FSR702 is Fortune’s high perfor- mance and SUV range. Available from 16-inch to 20-inch, he shared that this tyre focused on wet handling. A special tread pattern with extra siping boosted traction and braking performance in wet weather conditions and its four wide grooves chan- nelled water out of the tread to further en- hance wet traction and handling. With the Pattern Noise Simulation technology, he said road noise was reduced.
On the 4x4 segment, he continued that the company currently had the FSR305 H/T (16-inch to 22-inch) for Highway Ter- rain, FSR308 A/T (15-inch to 20- inch) for All Terrain and FSR310 M/T (15-inch to
22-inch) for Mud Terrain. There was also a newly created FSR309 R/T (17-inch to 24-inch) for Rugged Terrain that would be brought to the market soon.
Targeted at the premium budget seg- ment, he pointed out that all these tyres were mainly from the Thailand factory.
“We would continue to increase brand awareness through more marketing activ- ities. To better serve our clients, we plan to invest in retail outlets. Not many Chi- nese tyre brands did that. We have set                our commitment to grow the brand in the country. We are looking for new dealers to join us and would continue to expand our retail network.”
At present, the company has a sales team that consists of six personnel with the aim to increase growth by 20 to 25 per cent. Also in the pipeline is the move
