S passenger vehicles, Goodyear says its Assurance ComfortTred is
designed to deliver a smooth, quiet and comfortable ride.
According to Goodyear Malaysia Man- aging Director Alex Ng, the tyre is the newest and most technologically ad- vanced member of the Assurance Fam- ily. The Assurance ComfortTred series was created using the ANX technology for ‘supreme comfort’. Additionally, these tyres are equipped with an extra noise and vibration cancelling layer built with Goodyear’s advanced compound that is against rolling noise. Adding to the com- fort-oriented technology is the closed shoulder and narrower lateral grooves, which reduce air pumping noise caused by pressure variation when the tyre touches the ground.
Apart from comfort, the tyre is said to perform well in other aspects. It has an asymmetric tread design with separate shoulder blocks and four wide circumfer- ential grooves to improve handling and traction as well as prevent hydroplaning. The new generation tread compound with high amount of silica and resin fea-

tures additional traction, which provides the incremental modulation to the road surface, leading to better road contact and water evacuation resulting in better grip. Its sidewalls are designed not only - tance on dry surface. ‘Excellent cornering stability’ is achieved through the larger rib design in the centre of the tread.
Safe performance is further enhanced with the number of biting edges that keep the tyre in contact with the road at all time and enhance manoeuvring of the vehicle.
Launched in November 2022, the Assur- ance ComfortTred is available in 12 sizes, ratings. It is described as the ‘perfect tyre’ for petrol and electric premium vehicles such as the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Audi A6 and other premium models in the Malaysian market.
Drive Worry Free with Goodyear tyres
With the launch of its new and improved Worry Free Assurance (WFA), he said Goodyear Malaysia ensured that all Ma- laysians were kept safe and covered
when using Goodyear tyres, including the new Assurance ComfortTred.
WFA programme is available for all cus- tomers who purchase any new Good- year consumer tyres without a minimum purchase. Customers who participate in the programme would receive three new
1. One-Year Road Hazard Warranty
For a period of one year starting from the date of purchase, customers are el- igible for a free 1-to-1 exchange if tyres are damaged beyond repair by road haz- ards such as potholes and/or sharp ob- jects that occurred during normal driving. The tyres should have a tread depth of 5.0mm and above for the exchange. This new feature is an extension of the previ- ous WFA with six-month coverage with a minimum tread depth of 6.0mm.
2. 2X Free Tyre Safety Check
The new WFA programme ensures cus- tomers’ tyres are in optimal condition by providing two free tyre safety checks. Customers may return to the original Goodyear Autocare centre where they purchased their tyres for the two free safe- ty checks on the sixth and twelfth month from the date of purchase, giving custom- ers additional peace of mind while driving.
3. Five Years Warranty
Goodyear Malaysia has updated its terms date of purchase stated in the original in- voice, instead of from the manufacturing date on the tyres. However, in the event the original invoice is not available, the limited warranty would cover the tyres from the date of manufacturing instead. Under this warranty, Goodyear also cov- ers manufacturing defects in workman- ship or materials used.
