Commercial Success for Scandinavian Enviro Systems

2022 has been a busy time for Scandinavian Enviro Sys- tems, with the Swedish tyre pyrolysis company achieving some notable successes as the company strengthens its
position as one of the global leaders in the burgeoning pyrol- ysis sector.
During the early part of the year Enviro achieved two notable commercial successes. Firstly, the company received a recov- ered pyrolysis oil order worth MSEK 2 from the subsidiary of a leading US oil company for use in production tests at a Euro- transaction was conditional upon Enviro’s recovered oil gaining a registration in accordance with the EU chemicals regulation, REACH, which was also achieved during the second quarter of the year.
Secondly, Enviro also received an order for 60 tonnes of recov- ered carbon black from a major European tyre manufacturer. The carbon black will be used in production tests as a step in the and renewable materials in its tyres. The order encompasses a total of 60 tonnes of recovered carbon black that was produced at Enviro’s plant in Åsensbruk, Sweden.
The tyre manufacturer in question has previously announced ambitious goals as regards a transition to environmentally more sustainable tyre manufacturing, including the goal that half of all raw material included in new tyres by 2030 will be recovered or renewable. A number of the world’s largest tyre manufactur- ers including Enviro’s primary owner, Michelin, have announced highly ambitious goals for increased use of recovered or renew- able materials.

“Owing to our unique recycling technology, we can help the tyre industry meet the demands from both vehicle manufacturers and customers as regards reducing carbon emissions and achiev- ing more circular management of valuable raw materials. Our several industries, and we are now implementing our expansion plan to meet the drastic increase in demand that we expect,” said Enviro’s CEO, Thomas Sörensson.
A further key commercial success was achieved in Q2 of 2022 with the news that Michelin has produced a new version of its motorcycle racing tyre, with an even higher share of environ- mentally sustainable material ahead of the MotoE World Cup motorcycle racing series. The new version consists of an aver- which is recovered carbon black supplied by Enviro.
Additionally, Q2 saw the granting of an environmental permit for Enviro’s planned recycling plant in Uddevalla, Sweden, which will have the capacity to process up to 60,000 tonnes of tyres
percent of Sweden’s total annual volume of end-of-life tyres. The several factors, such as securing access to end-of-life tyres and agreements covering deliveries of recovered materials.
In addition to its commercial successes, Enviro has also made and a new website.
Following this, the company also won the categories of Best Tyre Recycler and the Tyre Pyrolysis Award at this year's edition of the Recircle Awards, the industry awards programme estab- lished by The Tyreman’s sister magazines Retreading Business and Tyre & Rubber Recycling with the aim of drawing attention
