Do you have any plans for developing local production in Asia, either in tyre repairs or tread rubber, and are there any plans afoot for collaboration with local manufacturers in this region?
We are aware that local production would allow us to have a closer presence in the various tyre retreading and repair mar- kets in South-East Asia. Therefore, all opportunities are properly evaluated. However, it is important to emphasise that Vipal, in 90 countries around the world, is constantly seeking to improve its processes and structure. In recent years, we have inaugu- rated a new plant in Argentina, which has allowed us to increase our production capacity to meet demands that may arise. Like- wise, one of our four plants is entirely dedicated to production for export.
Vipal has now a worldwide presence in both tyre repairs with regards to Asian markets, and how do you propose to leverage that strength in South-East Asia?
We know that there are still many markets to be developed fur- ther, and we certainly look at Asia with great interest. However, we also know that the competitiveness in this market is very strong and that this is a factor that we must deal with. Within but to do something consistent, like everything we have done in our 48 years of history. Everywhere we enter, we remain con- stant and perennial, a characteristic that makes Vipal a reliable supplier in any market in which it operates. When we have an opportunity, we work hard to establish a strong position and con- solidate.
South-East Asian region?
One of Vipal's principles is the relationship, whether with distrib- utors, partners, suppliers, among others. Our goal is to provide solutions for the transport segment, and that is why it is essen- tial that we build relationships to understand the needs that the market demands. In this way, whenever we have the opportunity - - laysian distributor who started with us in the 1990s, nearly three decades ago, and who continues to buy from us.
