- tive workshop operators ask is whether they require 200 psig compressed air. Well, most of the pneumatic tools, such as impact wrenches only require 60-80 psig compressed air. Excessive pres- sure will damage the tools. It is a waste of electrical power to compress to a higher pressure than required. Some workshops do not have a proper pip- ing system, so a small diameter pipe or hose will be the cause pressure drop.”
The Truth Behind Common Myths
Loh continued by explaining the truth behind the most common myths. He noted that many think that a screw com- pressor cannot deliver 200 psig. This
