retreading
Malaysian retreader TME Tyre Retread Sdn Bhd hosted a soft opening celebration recently for Kawasan Perindustrian Telok Panglima Garang, Selangor.
Edmund Teng, Director of TME Tyre Retread said, "We moved into our new and big- ger premises in late 2019. Ini- tially, we planned to have an opening celebration in early 2020 but due to the move- ment control order (MCO), we were unable to do it. Even for today's soft opening event, we have invited limited guests,
mainly our suppliers and part- ners only, in order to main- tain social distancing. This is to ensure our guests have a safe environment to enjoy the event, which is our apprecia- tion for their support."
He pointed out that this new and bigger factory would fur- ther help them to expand their retreading capacity, as they look to capture a bigger slice of the local retread market.
Even though market condi- tions are very challenging this year with the Covid-19 pan- demic, Teng believes it is im- portant to be ready when the market improves, and he is
of an upturn.
Teng added that the company plans to organise another event for their customers later once the pandemic situation improves further.
Apart from tyre retreading, TME is also a dis- tributor for Tech Tire Repairs products, as well as Hawkway and Firemax branded tyres. These products were also on display for the guests to view during the event.
