Mohd Razib Praises BKT Tyre for Its Durability
Mohd Razib, Site Supervisor of Eltramax Services Sdn Bhd (ESSB), gave BKT tyre’s quality and durability two thumbs-up during an exclusive interview with The Tyreman.
As the sub-contractor for Bentara Gemila- ng Quarry, located in Gunung Pulai, Johor, he operates 18 heavy-duty dumper trucks at this site, from 7am till 10pm. These dumper trucks are equipped with bias tyres. The challenges that the tyres faced are tread separation, cut and chipping.
“The durability of the tyres normally de- pends greatly on the driver’s behaviour. As the truck is driven on very tough ter- rains, if the driver is careful, our tyres could last on average one month. How- ever, we have to replace the tyres if they which results in tyre failure,” he said.
Razib added that this situation changed after they started to use BKT tyres. With a combination of good weather, good road conditions and a good driver, BKT tyres have lasted up to 4 months, a pleasant surprise for him. This translates to huge savings to their operating costs.
