Linglong Tire and Geely Automobile signed a com- prehensive strategic cooperation agreement in Ningbo, Zhejiang on 26th August, 2019. Guan Yu, Vice President of Geely Automobile Group, and Wang Feng, Chairman of Linglong Tire, attended the signing ceremony with the respective management teams.
Linglong and Geely began their cooperation in 2012. During the past eight years, Linglong provided OE (original equipment) service to a full range of models from Geely Automobile with ‘excellent products and service’. The tyre company was also presented with the Quality Improvement Award and Best Cooperation Award by Geely.
This signing is seen as another major breakthrough for the close cooperation between the two companies. The agreement states that the two parties would carry out long-term in-depth cooperation in product design and development, new technology application, qual- ity assurance, cost optimisation and manufacturing globalisation, among others, and Geely Automobile’s global manufacturing bases would provide a stable and high share of OE resources for Linglong. The two entities would also use their respective R&D and prod- uct advantages to promote the steady increase for both parties in the global market share.
Over the previous years, guided by the high-end de- mand of the OE market, Linglong says it has deeply grasped the ‘lifeline of the market’ and developed high performance tyres that could meet market demand on the basis of making full use of its existing advanced technology and performance testing systems. To-date, the company has provided OE service for more than 100 manufacturing bases of many well-established automakers worldwide.
