The research on ‘large-scale application of graphene rubber composites’, which is conducted jointly by Beijing Tiancheng Linglong Tire Co, Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lin- glong Tire, and Beijing University of Chemical Technology, has passed the audit and acceptance held by the Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission (BMSTC) on 28th January , 2019.
Besides China's leading experts from Tsinghua University, those from the Peking University, National Center for Nanoscience and Tech- nology (NCNT), Beijing Normal Uni- versity, Beijing Research Institute of Sinopec (BRIS), among others, also participated in the audit.
This research is seen as another milestone for Linglong Tire af- concept tyre was made and pub- lished in an international authori- tative academic journal in 2015.
Guo Baochun, a professor from South China University of Tech- nology, provided the key techni- cal support with his team and the trial production of graphene-en- hanced tyre was completed in the semi-steel radial tyre production line of Zhaoyuan, Linglong Tire's production base.
The achievements of this research are as follows: the team jointly de- veloped the graphene pretreatment technology, which lowered the pro- duction cost for graphene pretreat- ment. After the pretreatment body was applied in the tread formula, the graphene-enhanced tyre could be produced without changing the existing tyre production process and equipment in addition to some appropriate process adjustment, so as to ensure the feasibility of the industrial production process within controllable cost; the trial-produced tyres achieved breakthroughs in key performance such as fuel ef-
