Maxxis had been actively involved in all aspects of motor sports, including off-road challenges, and it offered tyres that were highly specialised for extreme recreational and competi- tion use.
Here in Malaysia, the Maxxis 4x4 Club was incepted in May 2012 and African Distributor Conference held in Penang. The purpose of setting up the club was to create brand awareness of Maxxis tyres in Malay- sia. Since then, the Maxxis 4x4 Club had been very active in promoting off-roading activities and putting Maxxis 4x4 tyres to the extreme test.
The recent Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Maxxis Malaysia, represented by Marketing Director Gerard Kiong, and Redah 4x4 Club, represented by President Hakashah Abu Ha- sib, was a win-win cooperation between the two parties. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Khairy Jamaludin, Malaysian Youth and Sports Minister, during the Youth Festival Putrajaya 2014, an event that was initiated by the Ministry.
