Liqui Moly DPF/GPF Cleaner Suitable for Workshops Looking for Versatility
Ulm-based lubricant specialist Liqui Moly has launched the DPF/GPF Cleaner, a fast and effective solution for cleaning diesel and gasoline particulate filters without requiring removal. This new product is aimed at workshops or vehicle owners seeking a cost-efficient and convenient maintenance option.
Particulate filters are essential for reducing vehicle emissions. In many regions, they are even legally mandated. However, over time, these filters can become clogged with soot, especially under unfavourable driving conditions or in the event of system malfunctions.
A clogged filter can lead to increased fuel consumption, fault messages in the engine management system, and expensive repair costs. Liqui Moly‘s new DPF/GPF Cleaner helps dissolve the hardened soot layer on the filter surface, enabling active regeneration while driving or using a vehicle diagnostic device. This might also lead to eliminating the need for filter removal.
Previously, Liqui Moly offered a probe-based cleaning solution, which effectively removes stubborn deposits using 1.5 litres of cleaning fluid and eight-bar pressure. While this method remains the most efficient for heavily clogged filters, the new cleaner provides a quicker and easier alternative for less severe cases.

The new cleaner is now available as part of Liqui Moly’s professional portfolio, complementing existing probe-based solutions, pressure guns, and other filter-cleaning products.
