Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd announced recently that its Advan Sport V107 tyre has been selected as OE fitment for a number of new models by Mercedes-AMG.

According to the company, Advan Sport V107 has been selected as original equipment (OE) for the new GLE 53 4MATIC+ Coup, which was launched in Europe in November, 2019. It was then selected by Mercedes as OE for two models in its new GLE 63-series– the GLE 63 4MATIC+ and the GLE 63 4MATIC+ Coupe – which were launched in Europe in March 2020.
Furthermore, Yokohama added the tyres were chosen by Mercedes for its new GLA 35 4MATIC and GLA 45 4MATIC+ and GLA 45 S 4MATIC+ models in June 2020.
The Advan Sport V107 is a high-performance tyre developed by Yokohama Rubber primarily for use on high-power premium cars. Yokohama said, the Advan Sport V105 improves upon the already excellent driving performance necessary for premium cars delivered by its predecessor Advan Sport V105 tyres while maintaining the superior comfort and safety of the V105.
The tyres were jointly developed with Mercedes-AMG and bear the automaker’s ‘MO1’ mark of approval on the tyre sidewall.
