Vice president Ge Guorong said the great achievement in 2017 was the increase in the company’s sales revenue by about 22 per cent. ZC Rubber expanded production capacity for Truck & Bus Radial (TBR) tyres by 13.6 per cent to 17.2million units a year as well as increased passenger car and light truck (PLT) tyre capacity by 20.7 per cent to 32.5 million units and that of two-wheeler tyres by 14.6 per cent to 94.1 million.
“Our sales of TBR in 2017 hit a historic record ranking ZC Rubber as one of the top global manufacturers and the 32.5 million PLT sales included the 11 million tyres sold in China to rank as number 1. It is a great result for us with the efforts of everyone in the ZC family. Thank you for your support and contribution in 2017,” Ge said to the dealers.
He added that the Thailand factory played an important role in the global market expansion with 4.4 million PLT and 1.4 million TBR tyres, especially in greatly improving market share in Thailand. In the coming year, ZC Thailand would continue to expand the product lines as well as its capacity for global customers.
For the two-wheeler tyres, ZC Rubber’ bike business revenue increased to more than US$30 million and the newly developed SOT tyres were said to be accepted by Mobike and OFO, two of the most popular bicycle sharing companies in China. Mobike has already entered Thailand to offer its public convenient use of bicycles. In addition, ZC Thailand’s motorcycle tyre production was started by the end of 2017 to meet the demands of the Asian markets.
ZC Rubber would also support the operation of the Auto Space project, including the consumer flagship store and commercial flagship store. More than 10,000 of these stores had been opened in China and Thailand, and two Auto Space stores covering Goodride and Westlake were opened last year. “The expansion of the Auto Space is aimed at bringing happiness for stores and consumers and reflects improved services from the tyre manufacturer. ZC Rubber’s Auto Space is devoted to being a professional, reliable and vigorous express service provider to benefit customers,” Ge said.
On market expansion, he said: “Wholesalers operate at express and low cost value-added service and the platform is more important than the operation. For retailers, the focus is on better experience, simple choice and new technology. ZC Rubber will support local dealers on market expansion and increase sales profit in 2018 by crafting a better future together.”
