The new ‘Made for Malaysia’ labels are now applied to the five best-selling Shell Helix products that are now blended and packed at Shell’s Lubricant Oil Blending Plant in Port Dickson, Negri Sembilan.
Shell Malaysia Makes it Easier to Identify Genuine Engine Oil
Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd recently introduced new ‘Made for Malaysia’ labels for ‘official genuine’ Shell Helix products meant for sale in Malaysia. This is applied to the five best-selling Shell Helix products that are now blended and packed at Shell’s Lubricant Oil Blending Plant in Port Dickson, Negri Sembilan.
These include Shell Helix Ultra 5W 40 (4L), Helix HX7 10W 40 (4L), Helix HX7 5W 30 (4L), Helix HX5 10W 30 (3L) and Helix HX5 15W 40 (4L).
A quick check on the authenticity of the product could be done by peeling off the new front label to reveal a unique QR code, while the label at the back features information in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
The QR code also enables easy registration for the Shell Advantage Rewards (SHARE) programme that rewards customers with goodies that include a sign-up bonus, Shell Helix Engine Warranty (SHEW) and free Shell Helix products.
According to Shell Malaysia Managing Director Shairan Huzani Husain, the move is a strategic investment by the company to protect the interests of car owners and trade partners by enabling them to clearly identify official genuine products.
“The presence of counterfeit and unauthorised products in the market is affecting customer confidence and negatively impacting our trade partners’ businesses. The decision to commence local production of official genuine Shell Helix products meant exclusively for the Malaysian market and clearly identify them with the new ‘Made for Malaysia’ labels, is a key step to address this issue,” he said.
Shairan added that there were no changes to the formulation of the Made-for-Malaysia Shell Helix engine oils and customers would continue to enjoy ultimate engine performance, even in extreme driving conditions.
The introduction of Shell Helix products with ‘Made for Malaysia’ labels is ongoing and expected to be completed by January 2019. During this transition period, official genuine Shell Helix products with old labels would still be on sale and could be authenticated through the unique product code on the label.
Apart from the Shell Helix-branded workshops, selected workshops served by authorised Shell distributors and Shell retail stations, the official genuine Shell Helix engine oils are also available online at Lazada Malaysia, 11street and Shopee via Shell Malaysia’s official online stores.
The ‘Made for Malaysia’ Shell Helix range was officially launched by the Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, Dato’ Saifuddin Nasution Ismail. Also present was Dato’ Basaruddin Sadali, Deputy Secretary-General (Domestic Trade), Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism.

蚬壳马来西亚贸易私人有限公司（Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd）为大马市场专用正宗蚬壳喜力（ Shell Helix）产品 配上全新“大马市场专用”标签。该全新标签，将用在5种森美兰波德申蚬壳润滑油混炼厂生产和包装的最畅销蚬壳喜力产品上。

撕开该全新正面标签，便能从其独特的QR码快速鉴定产品真伪。此外，该标签背后还印有巫英双语说明。
客户也可透过QR码登记参加蚬壳 Advantage Rewards（SHARE）计划，简单方便又能取得更多好礼包括注册奖金（sign-up bonus）、蚬壳喜力引擎保修（SHEW）以及免费蚬壳喜力产品（需符合相关规定与条件）回馈客户 。
大马壳牌（Shell Malaysia）董事经理赛依兰（Shairan Huzani Husain）指出，该行动是公司的策略性投资，旨在保护车主与贸易伙伴的权益，让他们清楚辨识正品。
他说：“市场上出现仿冒和非授权产品影响了客户信心，同时打击了贸易伙伴的生意。我们决定在本地生产大马市场专用的纯正蚬壳喜力产品，并以全新‘大马市场专用’标签清楚地加以区分，正是解决这个问题关键的一步。”
赛依兰补充，大马市场专用蚬壳喜力引擎机油的配方没有改变，也就是说，即便驾驶环境非常险峻，客户将能继续享受终极引擎性能表现。
配有“大马市场专用”标签的蚬壳喜力产品推广活动将持续进行，并预计于2019年1月结束。在这段过渡期，印有旧标签的正宗蚬壳喜力产品仍将继续出售，客户可透过标签上的独特产品代码加以鉴定真伪。
除了蚬壳喜力品牌车厂、特选授权蚬壳分销商车厂与蚬壳零售加油站外，客户也可从大马Lazada、 11street以及Shopee的大马蚬壳官方网上商店购买正宗的蚬壳喜力引擎机油。
“大马市场专用”蚬壳喜力系列产品由国内贸易及消费事务部长拿督赛夫丁（Dato’ Saifuddin Nasution Ismail）正式推介。联袂出席的还包括了国内贸易丶合作社及消费部副秘书长拿督巴沙鲁丁（Dato’ Basaruddin Sadali）。
