“Kian Hon Tyres stands true to the company’s mission – we strive to deliver only the best and the highest standard in products and services. To maximise customers’ satisfaction, we created MaxxPit to ensure consistency in delivering superior service in each Maxxis-customer interaction. Only through consistency in Maxxis experience can trust be forged with our customers,” said Kian Hon Tyres Managing Director Dato’ Sydney Tan.
With MaxxPit, she stressed, the company could ensure that its message of providing 100 per cent in quality, service and trust was concisely tailored and delivered to each Maxxis customer.
MaxxPit is a car service centre designed with innovation and sustainability in mind. The workshop incorporates recycled tyres, used nuts and bolts in its design.
The company revealed that it planned to open 15 MaxxPits across Malaysia in the next 3 years.
Also present was Chang Chiew Shen, the champion driver of the Rain Forest Challenge (RFC) 2015 and 2016 Grand Finals of Team Maxxis 4×4 Malaysia.
During an exclusive interview with The Tyreman, Chang revealed his full confidence in Maxxis 4×4 tyres.
“In fact, even before the sponsorship from Kian Hon, we had been using Maxxis. Their 4×4 tyres were durable and good in quality, and have contributed to our success in Borneo Safari 4×4 Challenge 2014.We were the crowned champions for the challenge.”
However, their vehicle encountered some technical problems in the RFC 2014 and they finished runner-up. “Kian Hon approached us and we joined Team Maxxis 4×4 Malaysia in 2015. They offered us sponsorship that included Maxxis 4×4 tyres, fuel, maintenance and repairs. A new tyre was developed and Team Maxxis Director Gerard Kiong helped design the new M9060 Mud Trepador. We used it for the 2017 RFC and the tyre was significantly better in control and mud dispersal while still being able to perform well in river crossings and over wet slimy rocks.”
Chang expressed his gratitude in being able to contribute to and be part of Team Maxxis 4×4 Malaysia, which supported him fully for the type of competition that he loved.
“Our aim is to win 3 consecutive championships in the RFC before we start mass production of the M9060 Mud Trepador,” added Dato’ Sydney.
