Aswad Nordin, the founder of Lamago Auto Centre, started using Webmax cloud-based car workshop system since 2019 when he converted his company from an enterprise to a ‘Sdn Bhd’ entity.
“Prior to this, we used a desktop accounting system that was traditionally widely used. With a desktop accounting software, there are many drawbacks. We had to buy software licences and pay for periodic new releases. As the software and financial data are installed directly onto the personal computer, regular data backup is required. In addition, we could only access the system from the computer on which it was installed and it was limited to one person at a time. All these were still bearable when we did not have branches,” he shared.
With three branches, he pointed out, the on-premises accounting software became very inconvenient and not cost effective. Not only was a licence required per computer but the number of users had increased. As the business grew, the company’s financial needs became more complex….

他说：“在此之前，我们采用的是被广泛使用的传统桌面版会计系统。使用桌面版会计软件，有很多缺点。我们必须购买软件许可证并定期为新版本付费。由于软件和财务数据直接安装在个人电脑上，因此需要定期进行数据备份。此外，我们只能在安装该系统的电脑上才能够运用该系统，而且一次只能一个人使用。这些情况，在我们没有分行时仍然可以忍受。”
他指出，有了三家分行后，磁盘操作（on- premises）会计软件变得非常不方便且不符合成本效益。不仅每台电脑都需要许可证，而且用户数量也增加了。随着业务的增长，公司的财务需求变得更加复杂…..
