Kumho Ecsta Was Ranked “Good” by ADAC Motorwelt and Auto Bild.
Kumho Tire, a long term supplier to Volkswagen, announced that it would supply its Ecsta HS52 in size 215/60R16 as the original equipment (OE) tyre for the Volkswagen Passat and the Škoda Superb.
The Volkswagen Passat, a consistently best-selling model, is the world’s first mid-sized car to sell more than 30 million units. Meanwhile, the Superb is Škoda’s flagship saloon, known for its classy design, excellent performance, and diverse convenience-enhancing features, which have made it highly popular in the mid-size luxury car market.
“Volkswagen and Škoda are very popular marques throughout the world. Our supply of OE tyres is a recognition of the quality and technological excellence of Kumho’s products. We will continue to leverage our industry-leading quality and technology to expand our supply of OE tires to premium automakers,” said Insoo Kim, head of the OE sales division at Kumho Tire.
The Kumho Ecsta HS52 delivers superb ride comfort and excellent driving stability. The robust blocks of its tread pattern allow the tyre to maintain consistent friction when making contact with the road surface, reducing shock and noise, and improving driving comfort.
Earlier this year, the Ecsta HS52 received excellent scores in summer tyre performance tests published in German auto magazines ADAC Motorwelt and Auto Bild, which are respected in Europe and around the world. It was ranked “Good” by both publications, making it the best performer among all tyres from Korean manufacturers.
