Hankook Tire has received gold at the 2020 Galaxy Awards for its CSR Report 2019-20.
Hankook Tire Makes Splendid Achievement in Galaxy Awards Competition
Marking its 31st anniversary this year, the Galaxy Awards is an international marketing communication competition organised by U.S.-based MerComm Inc., the world’s only independent awards dedicated to defining the standards of excellence in the communications fields. The award program has achieved world-wide recognition for their impartiality and fairness in the judging procedures. They accept no advertising, and there are no membership dues or sponsors. Judging is carried out by experts in the profession from 50 countries solely based on the values.
This year, a total of 15 categories including advertising, brochures, promotional videos and annual reports were reviewed. It was the first time for Hankook Tire to participate in the Galaxy Awards Competition where the company made a splendid achievement of receiving the Gold award in recognition for its 2019-20 CSR report under the Annual Reports – Online category’s Sustainability Report sector.
The 2019-20 CSR report is Hankook Tire’s 11th sustainability report outlining the company’s social contribution activities and achievements throughout 2019. It focuses on eight major areas: customer satisfaction and quality management, integrated environmental management, climate change and GHQ management, community involvement and development, transparency and business ethics, employee value creation, employee health and safety management, and win-win supply chain partnership.
“At Hankook, we take great pride in leveraging our capabilities and influence for the greater good, including our service to the community and for the environment,” says Sooil Lee, Hankook Tire President & COO. “We will continue our commitment to sustainability to bring positive changes for the world.”
