The Hankook iON evo EV tyre performed well on wet and dry surfaces, getting top scores in two categories for each surface.

The Hankook iON evo came out top in the Auto Bild EV tyre test last month and received an “exemplary” rating from the German publication.
Tested against seven other EV tyres in the size 215/55 R 18, the Hankook iON evo secured the top spot with an overall score of 1.1. The tyre performed well on wet and dry surfaces, getting top scores in two categories for each surface. It also managed to get solid scores for mileage, price/mileage, and rolling resistance.
“Special EV tyre with good safety reserves during aquaplaning, short braking distances, outstanding driving dynamics, good mileage, good comfort and low rolling resistance,” wrote Auto Bild about the tyre.
In the wet surface tests, the Hankook iON evo came out on top on the circular track and for handling. Meanwhile, for braking, aquaplaning, and aquaplaning in curves categories, it finished second.
After winning two out of five categories in wet surface, the iON evo then dominated the dry surface tests, winning two out of three categories: braking and handling. For the other category, drive-by noise, the tyre finished in the top five thanks to its Hankook i Sound Absorber technology.
In the environment category, the Hankook iON evo finished second in the range and roll-out tests. It also received “consistently good scores” for mileage, price/mileage and rolling resistance, according to the company’s official release.
