Previoulsy The Continental PremiumContact 7 Had Won Awards by Auto Bild and Auto Zeitung
Continental’s PremiumContact 7 recently came first in the What Car? tyre test, the company announced in an official statement on 4 September 2024. With tyres being the only contact between a car and the road, the test aimed to highlight the importance of making the right tyre choice.
The PremiumContact 7 excelled in the braking categories, topping the table in both wet and dry conditions. The tyre also performed well in wet and dry handling and received good feedback when put to the test on track.
“The Continental PremiumContact 7 does a great job of dealing with wet and dry conditions and standing water. It stopped our test car swiftly and offered an abundance of grip in all situations. When it did falter, it did so without drama so the driver could back off the power and regain control,” wrote the What Car? magazine of the tyre.
Peter Robb, Marketing Director of Continental United Kingdom and Ireland, said, “We are pleased to see the PremiumContact 7 come out on top in the What Car? tyre test. This win adds to the many accolades the tyre has received across Europe since its launch and it is great to see our tyres recognized for their performance and safety.”
Available for a Wide Range of Vehicles
The PremiumContact 7 is tailor-made for a wide range of vehicles, depending on weight, size, and type of drive. Since heavy vehicles require different tyre solutions than light passenger cars, the new premium tyre has been adapted to each vehicle class and is available in tyre sizes from 16 to 21 inches.
The tread design of the PremiumContact 7 ensures even more stability and ride comfort on both wet and dry roads. The tyre also features a new innovative RedChili compound, with which Continental has succeeded in enabling optimum performance in the widest possible temperature spectrum.
This is not the first accolade that the Continental PremiumContact 7 has won this year. The tyre had also been awarded “Green Tyre of the Year” by Auto Bild and also topped the Auto Zeitung test.
