BKT Strengthens Its Footing in Sporting Competitions
BKT Tires on 22 July 2024 announced the official partnership with The Hundred, an England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) 100-ball cricket competition that begins today, 23 July 2024.
For many years, the off-highway tyre manufacturer has embraced the value of sports partnerships and has established itself as a brand increasingly recognized by fans and sports enthusiasts worldwide.
As part of this partnership with ECB, BKT’s logo will feature on the leading arm of all eight teams’ playing kits across the men’s and women’s competitions in the fourth year of The Hundred. Furthermore, in-ground advertising activities from the multinational company will be showcased for the entire duration of the tournament.
Rajiv Poddar, Joint Managing Director of BKT, said in an official statement, “It’s a pleasure and an honour for us to be at the side of this exciting competition that will involve world-class players from around the world. Also, this partnership fully reflects the value of inclusivity we hold dear, building together both women’s and men’s teams for over five weeks. This is the result of our shared passion for this extraordinary sport, which aims to bring added value to the cricket experience”.
Meanwhile, ECB Chief Commercial Officer Tony Singh commented, “The Hundred has always been about innovation and attracting a new audience and BKT Tires are aligned with those aims. We look forward to working alongside them as we continue to take The Hundred to as many fans as possible across England and Wales.”
With this partnership, the ECB’s The Hundred joins a list of prestigious sporting competitions sponsored by BKT, from the Spanish LaLiga, Italian Serie B, French Ligue 2, Euroleague Basketball, Monster Jam, and the United Rugby Championship.
ECB’s The Hundred is also the second cricket competition to be officially supported by BKT after the KFC Big Bash League in Australia.
