Hankook Aims to Set New Standards as a GDSO Member

Hankook’s membership in the GDSO emphasises the company’s commitment to advancing the tyre sector through technical innovations.

Hankook Has Been a Full Member of the GDSO since July 2024

Korean tyre manufacturer, Hankook, pledges to set new standards for tyre data processing in the digital age through its membership at the Global Data Service Organisation for Tyres and Automotive Components (GDSO).

“With our full membership of the GDSO, we want to make our contribution to the organisation’s goal of setting new standards for the efficient processing of tyre data in the digital age. This includes providing reliable and accurate data for the tyre dataspace,” says Klaus Krause, Vice President and Head of Europe Technical Center at Hankook.

Since July 2024, Hankook has been a full member of the GDSO. Established in January 2022, the international non-profit association promotes digital standardisation and easier sharing of data in the tyre and automotive sectors. It also offers tyre manufacturers and other organisations in the tyre value chain access to sector-specific data systems.

The digital sharing of tyre data and its efficient use take place via the GDSO’s dataspace using a dedicated connector. Hankook’s membership emphasises the company’s enduring commitment to advancing the tyre sector through technical innovations.

“With Hankook, the GDSO has gained another strong partner that is committed to digitalisation and sustainability in the sector. Together, we will work to improve the standards in the area of data processing and to develop future-oriented solutions,” says Riccardo Giovannotti, GDSO Secretary General.
