New Bridgestone Ecopia H/L001 for Demanding SUV Drivers
Bridgestone Malaysia has launched its new Ecopia H/L 001 tyres, specifically designed for SUV drivers who desire a balance between safety, long wear life and fuel efficiency. This new generation eco-tyre reflects the craftsmanship of Bridgestone, which has over 20 years of experience in developing high performing eco-tyres customised to demanding drivers who ‘want it all.’
Developed using Bridgestone’s advanced technologies and compounds, Ecopia H/L 001 builds on the success of the EP850 to provide inspiring wet handling and braking performance, which are factors sure to inspire confidence in the driver. Other new features for the Ecopia H/L 001 include an optimised contact patch that results in long-lasting tread life as well as rolling resistance to enhance fuel efficiency and cost savings. The tyres also provide SUVs with a smooth and comfortable ride experience.

Through our market feedback, key attributes of from SUV drivers when they evaluated tyres were grip, wet performance, wear life and comfort. According to the company, the three major highlights of the new tyre are a safer wet grip, long-lasting wear and fuel efficiency.
The improved chamfered design of the Ecopia H/L 001 provides a flat contact point, which grips wet road surfaces with higher frictional force. The new tread pattern also contributes to an advanced anti-hydroplaning performance with better handling.
Featuring deeper lug depth on the tyre shoulder, the new tyre is designed to strengthen stiffness in the tyre and increase wear resistance. Its new tread is designed to prevent tyre deformation and provide a longer wear life. Last but not least for the attributes of the Ecopia H/L 001, the tyre utilises enhanced NanoProTech that offers low rolling resistance, which contributes to daily fuel savings and less CO2 emissions, reducing the vehicle’s environmental footprint.
A successor to the EP850, the new Ecopia H/L 001 is available from 15- to 18-inch sizes, and will cost from RM294 to RM854 per piece.
In conjunction with the launch, the company has held a promotion from 1st August till 30th September, offering a cash rebate of RM40, RM60 and RM80 respectively for customers who purchase a set of new tyres in 16-, 17- or 18-inches sizes. The promotion is available at Bridgestone B-Select, Pro Shop and authorised dealers.
